St Augustine’s Medical Practice has moved!

We have now moved from our current premises on Station Road in Keynsham to bigger, purpose-built premises in the Chocolate Factory on the Somerdale development site. This will be great for our patients and enables our practice to support Keynsham’s ever growing population.

There is a regular bus service to the Chocolate Factory and dedicated free car parking for our patients outside the surgery main entrance (including disabled bays).

We closed the doors of our Station Road premises at 1.00pm on Friday, 12 January and moved into the Chocolate Factory over the weekend. Please note that our Saltford branch surgery is not affected by the move and will be functioning as normal throughout this period.

The new premises are less than quarter of a mile away from the current site and are situated on the ground floor of The Chocolate Factory (block C) of the new retirement complex that is run by St Monica Trust. Our new premises include improved disabled access, a state-of art minor surgery suite and twelve consulting rooms, and more spacious staff facilities.

We do understand that for many of us change is difficult and it will be sad to say goodbye to Station Road which has been used as a GP practice for over fifty years but we hope that you see this change as a positive step. We have been planning to relocate for over ten years in order to provide bigger, more modern facilities that can keep pace with the growing local population and increased demand for health and care services.

We are working hard to ensure the transition to the new premises is as smooth as possible but as with all new ventures, there will no doubt be teething problems so please bear with us through this time.In the meantime, if you have any comments, queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our wonderful reception staff or leave feed-back on our website.
